The story-in-a-story pulls us briefly away from our familiar ka-tet (just like Wizard and Glass did), and just like Wizard and Glass the embedded story builds on Roland's past causing us to quickly forget our surroundings as we are whisked away into the Starkblast.<br /><br />Without giving out any spoilers, the Dark Tower fan will appreciate the common elements of this story-in-a-story that are also present in the world of the story teller. Without any doubt, the telling of the Keyhole story from Roland's perspective adds more to Roland than readers have previously encountered. Most enjoyable!
