Books to Die For (Hodder & Stoughton) is a collection of essays by one hundred and twenty crime writers from all over the world who have waxed lyrical about the one crime novel that is to them their most loved. Edited by the Dynamic Duo that is Declan Burke and John Connolly, this is the book to be owned, read and re-read by anyone that has the slightest interest in the crime genre.
It's just not crime writers who are knowledgeable in the field. There is another group of people who are equally enthusiastic about the genre. These are, of course, the reviewers and the bloggers. In celebration of the official publication of Books To Die For, Shotsmag Confidential has managed to persuade a number of well-known contributors to write about that one book, that if asked, they would put in the hands of readers.
As to who these people are who have kindly agreed to reveal all; I would say which this space! Suffice it to say they are recognised by many who regularly read crime fiction. Also they may sometimes pop up on the FBI’s Most Wanted List and UK's Crimestoppers!
