Millennium 4 : The Girl in the Spider's Web

MacLehose Press released the title and the cover design of the continuation by the Swedish author David Lagercrantz of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium series. Released on 27 August 2015, part four of Stieg Larsson's Millennium series: The Girl in the Spider's Web will be written by David Lagercrantz:

The novel will be called The Girl in the Spider’s Web.

The text of the novel, now complete, is embargoed until its worldwide and simultaneous publication on August 27, 2015. No copies for review will be available in advance of that date. The novel has been acquired for translation by 38 publishers.

The British publisher Christopher MacLehose has said: “David Lagercrantz is not only a distinguished novelist, he is an exceptional storyteller. His Millennium novel brilliantly prolongs the story of Lisbeth Salander and of Mikael Blomqvist."

Erland and Joakim Larsson of the Stieg Larsson Estate have said: “By letting David Lagercrantz write his own Millennium novel we keep alive the characters and the universe Stieg Larsson created.

David Lagercrantz will be in London in May, and at the Hay-on-Wye Festival, to talk about Fall of Man in Wilmslow, his novel of the death of Alan Turing. This book and The Girl in the Spider’s Web are translated from the Swedish by George Goulding.

Lagercrantz is an acclaimed author and journalist. In his years on the Stockholm DailyExpressen he covered a number of major crime stories. He wrote the internationally-bestselling I Am Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the footballer’s “autobiography” which has been published in 30 languages and sold in millions of copies.

The first three books in the series are being reissued on 4 June 2015.
