Murder and Witches

 


The crime writers Cathi Unsworth, Syd Moore, and Mick Finlay, whose books draw on the Hagley Woods murder of 1943, the history of witches in Essex, and murder in London and East Anglia, talk about some of the events in history that have inspired their books. These crime writers will talk about unusual cases of murder and witchcraft in English history.

Murder Will Out at Cambridge

A Day of Crime, Thriller and Mystery Fiction

We're very much looking forward to hosting another day devoted to crime, thriller and mystery fiction, and hope you will come along to hear from these fantastic authors. Here's the full line-up (pun intended)!

Location, Location, Location: Stories with a Strong Sense of Place with Alison Bruce, Elly Griffiths, Christina James & Caro Ramsay.

Are These Authors Good or Bad? with Deepa Anappara, Mick Finlay, Sam Lloyd & Caro Ramsay.

Caught in Time: historical crime panel with Christopher Fowler & Nicola Upson.


Going For Gold - CWA Gold Dagger Winners with Steve Cavanagh & MW Craven.

There will be a pop-up bookshop at the event and the authors will be signing copies of their books after their panel slot.

Murder Will Out!


On Saturday 8th June, fifteen hand-picked crime writers will descend upon Cambridge for a murderously good day of panel discussions, book signings - and answering those author questions you've been just dying to ask. 

With talks on London based thrillers, dark psychology and debut authors to name a few come and join us for a day of all things crime fiction.

Murder Under the Mistletoe

If your blood isn't cold enough this Christmas, we've got a cracker of an evening for you. This is Murder Under the Mistletoe 2018!

Join Heffers Bookshop for a convivial evening of festive drinks, readings by a selection of hand-picked crime authors and lots of book buying.
